Amy Duffy is a self-taught artist whose work is diverse in subject matter, technique, style and medium. Amy grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma in a family of artists.
Amy's unique eye for color lets her create eclectic, texture-rich and color inspired paintings of various media. Amy is a Pawnee tribal member, as well as having Cherokee and Ojibwa heritage. She draws from her native roots to create paintings of nature and portraits. Amy's art was set aside for a college education/track and field career at the University of Oklahoma, after which a career in Environmental Science and raising three children. In 2013, she began painting after a long hiatus and finds great joy and excitement in every project. She finds the painting process to be both cathartic and challenging and loves tapping into her creative side. Amy currently lives in Edmond, Oklahoma with her three children. |
